In this first edition of 2012 I am overflowing with the imperial fish grease hotness from the realm of soul and progressive hip hop. The beautiful thing about music is its ability to convey the emotions of the masses while still connecting exclusively to your heart.

I’ve summoned the blend-age of my alter alter ego, DJ Markus Gramm, to construct this amalgamation of sounds to pierce your soul.

If you downloaded on 27 January 2012 between 12midnight – 9am CST, there was an alternative episode. Created after this one, the episode was full of “firsts” from using a mobile recording environment (iPhone) to double features (i.e., Childish Gambino, Eric Roberson). I don’t know what I was thinking but I do know it’s always better to go with your first mind
