Check out the Latest Editions:

behindthemic2

In this edition we kick off the celebration of Black Music Month with the best in global grown + sexy from the realm of soul and progressive hip hop. My Soulbounce fam turned me on to a few gems as well as my own virtual crate digging contributed to this highly eclectic playlist.

This month’s special guest is the soul crooner, Valvin “V” Roane, who just dropped his new album “It is Finished: The Paradox volume 1“and returning to a stage near you. We chop it up about touring with Jill Scott, studying under the magnificent DJ Jazzy Jeff and his plans to keep expressing himself through soulful compositions.

The health journey continues as I break down the “combo flow” essential for any successful health and fitness program. The FFC Nike Plus Challenge is in full effect so if you rock the Nike+ gear, I encourage you to get it in and you could win a 16GB thumb drive from yours truly.

Enjoy this edition and your weekend.

love the fact that you represented for Nino Moschella on this one. “Sleep” is some of the best angular funk i’ve heard since late-’80s Prince. and Mos Def’s “Casa Bey” was brilliant. great show.
