Sadaxwell Edition

In this edition we celebrate two of music’s most sensual artists whose gift of expression spans more than three decades. Both command placement on any slow jam mix and their return to the spotlight in 2009 had been paramount. Thanks to everyone who hit me up on Twitter, this edition has come to fruition. Break out your incense, candles, bath salts and headphones — these sexy selections are just what you need to unwind from a tumultuous year / month / week / day.

Sade + Maxwell = Sadaxwell [sha-DAX-well] for the win.

You’re welcome.

I was referring to Maxwell’s song “Submerge: Til We Become the Sun.” in my earlier post.

Thanks for listening – glad you enjoyed it. “Submerge” is my favorite Maxwell song — it’s the single that actually made me a true fan of his work.

Fave, I could go on and on about Maxwell’s “Embrya” cd. I couldn’t understand why the critics didn’t like it when it was first released. I posted “Know These Things: Shouldn’t You” and “Drowndeep: Hula” on my FB page and told my friends to buy this cd if they didn’t have it. I got a few “Likes” after they listened to his songs.

I love all of Maxwell’s music, but “Embrya” is my favorite cd. BLACKsummersnight is a close second. Urban Hang Suite is in a category all by itself…”Lifetime”, “W/as My Girl’, and “Silently” are my favorite songs on his “Now” cd.

    Take care. Merry Christmas!!

Fave, this is so great!! I don’t know when I’ve heard mixing done so well in a long time! I’m from Oakland and I know the real deal and this hits the soul really deep!! Keep this up dude!
